People learn German for a range of reasons – holidays; interest in German culture, literature, music or sport; a desire to communicate with German-speaking family and friends; for professional reasons; or school students who would like to improve their GCSE or A Level grade.
Oxford German Lessons was started by me, Yvonne Sanderson, in 2018. I have a passion for teaching German to adults and young people. A fluent speaker of German with a degree in German from the University of Sheffield, I have been teaching German in business, the university, community education, schools, lunch clubs and one-to-one classes since 1995, from beginners’ to advanced level.
COURSE OPTIONS
My courses are tailored to the individual requirements and learning style of the client. My aim is to enthuse people to speak a new language, give them confidence with their skills, and to enable them to communicate in German whether it be for travel, family, cultural or professional purposes.

GROUP LESSONS
Learning in a small group with people of a similar level is a fun way to learn a language, giving plenty of opportunity for role-play, practise in pairs, and to learn from one another. Get in touch to see what groups are currently running.
INDIVIDUAL LESSONS
Learning by yourself allows you to focus on your own needs and to forge your own path in language learning. Classes are tailored to individual requirements, levels and goals.
CURRENT COVID SITUATION
During the pandemic, classes are offered online only, via Zoom. You will need a computer or device with a camera in order to participate.
